How to Get Rid of Acne

how to get rid of acne
How to get rid of acne - Before trying any of these tips, keep in mind that we do not need to worry about nasty side effects. What I have here are some natural and sterile tips to get rid of acne.

Let’s start with prevention. You should consider washing your face at least twice a day or more if you are prone to oily skin. The oil on your face will attract dirt, and it is this dirt that is responsible for eventually clogging up your skin pores. This will, without a doubt, lead to pimples so make sure to keep the face clean. Wash with mild non-scented facial soap and use warm water when possible. Consult your dermatologist on what natural acne products he recommends for your type of acne. You will want to use a soft, clean cloth when drying your face. Be extra cautious that the skin pores don’t get rubbed open or else bacteria will enter. Gently pat the skin dry, as vigorous rubbing may be too harsh for your facial skin.

For women that habitually use make-up, consider switching to water based make-up. Oil-based make-up is notorious for clogging skin pores which is the root of most acne in females. You need to remember to remove the make-up before going to bed. Cleansing, toning and moisturizing as a nightly ritual will also go a long way in removing excess dirt and oil.

Environmental factors may expose you to excess dirt. Getting involved in certain sports makes skin contact to dirty surfaces inevitable. By no means do you have to give up your favorite sport, but washing your face after every game or practice will be a necessity. There are some cheap products in the marketplace that you can use before sweating it up. They act as a temporary barrier between your face and the elements. Choose a product that will be easy to clean off once your activity is over.

That brings us to another point, avoid touching the face! Doing so transfers the dirt on your hands to your facial skin. I'm sure you don't want to hear all about the nasty bacteria that reside in your fingernails.

Try to keep your face free from your loose hair. The scalp secretes a type of oil that becomes another pore clogging incubator of acne growth.

Do you stress out often? Stress directly affects the way our bodies secrete different hormones. Anything that wreaks havoc on our natural hormonal balance is yet another culprit of embarassing acne outbreaks. Find new ways to explore your inner peace. Doing yoga or spending some quiet time alone may actually be of great help.

One final tidbit, and probably the most important - Drink lots of water! Water is our natural waste filter and it helps our body release many toxins inherent in our bodies from regular day to day living. You need enough water for body detoxification to be efficient. The average suggestion is a gallon of water a day. It may seem like a lot but you'll be amply rewarded for your efforts. When toxins, or wastes, are properly and thoroughly excreted outside the body, a good and healthy complexion is a natural result.

This should get you started on the road to an acne free lifestyle. Nothing earth shattering I know, but If your acne proves to be worse than usual consulting an expert is always a viable option. Best of luck in your efforts to get rid of acne!
